主讲人简介:刘学炎。2008 年中科院地球化学研究所博士毕业,2009-2014 年于东京农工大学做博士后,2015 年至今地球系统科学学院教授、博士生导师。曾获国家优秀青年基金、入选国家级青年人才和天津市杰出青年人才,现主持国家自然科学基金委重点项目、科技部大气污染成因、全球变化与应对专项课题等多项。

报告内容简介:氮是地球生命活动必需营养元素之一,但近百年来人类活动导致大气活性氮排放快速持续增加,生成二次颗粒物,影响空气质量,同时增加陆生系统的大气氮输入,诱发植物多样性和固碳能力变化、土壤酸化、水体氮富集等问题。我们致力于氮同位素地球化学方法创新和应用,聚焦地表氮素来源和地球化学过程机制研究,为制定活性氮减排策略和评估氮富集的效应提供科学依据。

Speaker: Xue-Yan Liu, is a professor in the School of Earth System Sciences of Tianjin University. He got a PhD degree of Geochemistry in 2008 in Institute of Geochemistry, CAS, then worked as postdoctoral fellows under the JSPS Programs for Foreign Researchers and for Next Generation World-Leading Researchers from 2009-2014. He has won the Excellent Young Scientist (2015) and Key Project of NSFC (2017), the outstanding Youth Funds of Tianjin (2017),national Youth Talents, and participated the State Key Projects of Research and Development Plan on atmospheric pollution and causes, global change and responses.

 

Introduction: Nitrogen is a nutritional element for earth life, but human activities have caused a rapid and continuous increase of reactive nitrogen in the atmosphere since the early of 20th Century, which produces secondary particulates and influences the air quality, meanwhile elevates atmospheric nitrogen inputs to terrestrial ecosystems and further induces changes in plant diversity and carbon fixation, soil acidification, eutrophication. Most research works in Dr. Liu’s lab now focus on natural stable isotopes and new applications for sources and processes of nitrogen pollutants, nitrogen biogeochemistry in terrestrial ecosystems and their responses to environmental changes. The overarching aim is to provide in situ geochemical knowledge for better mitigating N pollution and evaluating its negative effects.
