个人简介  

刘丛强,男,贵州省遵义人,地球化学家。天津大学表层地球系统科学研究院教授、院长,中国科学院院士、国际地球化学学会会士、爱丁堡皇家学会外籍院士,中国科学院学术委员会委员,国家自然科学基金委咨询委员会委员。《Geochemica Acta》杂志主编、中国矿物岩石地球化学学会名誉理事长。

2015年起,为复建天津大学地学专业(1895年始建,1952年迁出),主持建立天津大学表层地球系统科学研究院,任首任院长。2020年,任地球系统科学学院首任院长。

曾任国家自然科学基金委副主任,中国科学院地球化学研究所所长、环境地球化学国家重点实验室主任,曾兼任贵州省科协副主席、中国矿物岩石地球化学学会理事长等职。是贵州省第十届和第十一届人大代表、中国共产党贵州省第十一次代表大会代表、中国共产党第十八次全国代表大会代表和第十三届中国人民政治协商会议全国委员。

教育/工作经历  

1982年毕业于南京大学地球科学系,获理学学士学位。1984年于中国科学院地球化学研究所获理学硕士学位,后留所工作。1986-1996年留学日本,先后在日本理化学研究所做访问学者,日本东京大学理学部化学系攻读博士学位,日本科学技术厅理化学研究所基础科学特别研究员,日本国立电气通信大学化学系副教授。1997-2009年任中国科学院地球化学研究所所长,期间至2011年任环境地球化学国家重点实验室主任。2013-2018年任国家自然科学基金委员会副主任。2015年起,为复建天津大学地学专业(1895年始建,1952年迁出),主持建立天津大学表层地球系统科学研究院,任首任院长。2020年,任地球系统科学学院首任院长。

曾主持国家攀登计划,国家基础研究发展计划,国家自然基金杰出青年、创新群体、重点、重点国际合作项目,中国科学院“百人计划”(首批)、知识创新工程重要方向、海外合作伙伴计划等项目。

研究方向  

主要从事表层地球系统科学研究:从低温地球化学基础理论和多学科交叉视角研究区域和全球环境变化机理、研究表层地球系统地球关键带的组成和结构、形成过程、生态系统功能和服务机制以及调控原理等,以期为生态环境管理、人类可持续发展决策提供理论依据,具体研究方向包括:
