CLIS upholds postgraduate cultivation with the concept of people foremost, science-oriented, innovative training and prominent features delivers high-quality graduates, who carry out the research with spirit of innovation and profession for the prevention and control of air pollution and climate change in China. The center is proud of focusing on frontier scientific research, and to have extensive international exchanges, advanced analytical facilities, strong research strength and harmonious teacher-student relationship. The center focuses on the Bohai Rim key zone, to investigate the regional characteristics role on the processes of material and energy exchange between the atmosphere-ocean-land interfaces; the frontier issues of geosciences, giving a full play to the cross-disciplinary features and physical and chemical mechanisms of matter transformation among the land-atmosphere interface and thus global climate change. Students in CLIS have extensive opportunities to participate in academic exchange activities at home and abroad (International academic visits, National and International academic conferences, etc.).
