The evolution of the Earth as a habitable planet is controlled by the interaction between deep- and surface-Earth processes, including tectonic activities, geomorphic evolution, climate change, and ecosystem modulation. The Research Center for Tectonics-Geomorphy-Climate-Ecosystem (RCTGCE) is targeted at deciphering a series of scientific issues in Earth system science based on techniques and data derived from studies of geomorphology, structural geology, geochronology, geochemistry, geodesy, seismology, stratigraphy, meteorology and Quaternary science.
