Invited by Prof. LIU Congqiang, Dean of the School of Earth System Science, Prof. YU Guirui, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, taught a 2-credit graduate course "Ecosystem Ecology" in the fall semester 2020. This course gave an overview of frontier research and its application in the area of ecosystem ecology. Fifty-five students signed up for this course.
Yu Guirui, an ecologist, is mainly engaged in the intersection of ecology and geography. He has long been committed to promoting the construction of China's field station network, networking observation experiment and comprehensive ecological environment research, and founded China FLUX, making outstanding contributions in the fields of terrestrial ecosystem carbon-nitrogen water cycle and coupling process mechanism, space-time pattern of carbon-nitrogen water flux, functional traits of vegetation and biogeography.
