On the afternoon of May 21st, SESS held the first online doctoral dissertation defence of the year by using Tencent Conference online platform. The respondent is Caiqing Qin, Ph.D. student of SESS in 2016 (tutor: Professor Siliang Li and Professor Susan Waldron).
Members participating in this defense include: Professor Sheng Xu of Tianjin University (Chairman of Defense Committee), Professor Xi Chen of Tianjin University, Professor Xiaodong Li of Tianjin University, Professor Yongjun Jiang of Southwest University, and Researcher Junbing Pu of Key Laboratory of Karst Dynamics, Institute of Karst Geology. In addition, more than 40 teachers and students from related research fields participated in the online defence as observers.
