From 8 to 9 July, 2019, the First ISESS Summer Camp for Excellent College Students was held at TJU, welcoming 20 students selected from leading educational institutes in China to explore the sustainable development of the Earth.
On the opening ceremony, Prof. LIU Congqiang, Dean of ISESS and academician of CAS, delivered a keynote speech and emphasized the importance of sustainable development from the perspective of Surface-Earth system. During the two days, campers communicated with more than 20 scholars from ISESS, visited the world-class laboratories and got to know each other more through plenty of extracurricular activities. By the end of the camp, 13 campers were offered an acceptance letter given that they would be qualified for the exemption from the master program's entrance exam.
