On 25th April 2019, Tianjin Key Laboratory of Earth Critical Zone Science and Sustainable Development in Bohai Rim was inaugurated at the ISESS, Tianjin University. Prof. ZHAO Meirong, Vice President of TJU, Prof. LIU Congqiang, Dean of the ISESS, and members of academic committee of the key laboratory attended the ceremony. Prof. ZHAO Meirong and LIU Congqiang unveiled the lab and conferred letters of appointment to the members of the Academic Committee.
The key lab will focus on: (1) climate and environmental evolution around the Bohai Rim, (2) ecohydrology and biogeochemical cycle in the Binhai new area, and (3) utilization of soil and water resources and improvement of ecological function in the Binhai new area.
