On April 25, lectures with the topic of "The isotopic composition of methane" were held in the Conference Building of Tianjin University. Prof. Stephen C. Maberly, Professor of Centre for Ecology & Hydrology in UK, and Prof. Brigitte Gontero, Director of Bioénergétique et Ingénierie des Protéines (BIP) in Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) in France, gave lectures on "Inorganic carbon in lakes: global cycling and ecological consequences" and "How photosynthetic organisms cope with low CO2 in aquatic environment".
