After rounds of reviews and interviews, 7 researchers were invited to join in ISESS as an Associate Professor or Lecturer. They stood out from 49 applicants, and were from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, The Johns Hopkins University, the University of Arizona, Georg-August-University of G?ttingen, Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, and Institute of Geochemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences.
With the 7 newcomers, the ISESS will have 32 full-time academic staff, including 10 professors, 6 associate professors and 16 lecturers. 80% of the academic staff have overseas work/study experience.
