In September 2016, researchers went to Wu Jiang reservoir for field reconnaissance to identify the sampling sites for the Project of “Study on the Influence and Evaluation of Intercepting Carbon and Nitrogen Cycle and Transport in Southwest Rivers in China”, a National Key Research Program led by ISESS, which was officially launched in August 2016. It was schemed to start sampling in January 2017.
