In the golden autumn of 2016, the ISESS welcomed 13 new faculty members and 31 graduate students. In order to help new members fitting in the new campus life, the institute held a diverse array of events & programs throughout September (Orientation-Month). A series of lectures, seminars and talks were given by representatives the Office of International
Cooperation, the Office of Scientific & Technology, the Finance Department, the University Library and the University Archives. Topics covered how to go abroad for business trips, how to apply and manage the research fundings at TJU, how the university was established and developed, how to make full use of the university library, etc..
