The 10th Anniversary Event of SESS was successfully held at Tianjin University on April 10th.
SESS marked its 10th anniversary with a high-profile development conference at Weijin Road campus, gathering 18 Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering; deans from 25 geography departments/schools across Chinese top universities; 10 internationally renowned scholars; representatives from research institutions and partner organizations to explore the future of Earth System Science.
The conference culminated in a significant academic milestone – the signing and release of Tianjin Declaration of the Deans' Forum on Geographical Science and Earth System Science. Additionally, CAS Academicians Guo Zhengtang, Hou Zengqian, Xu Yigang, and Wang Yanxin delivered lectures on cutting-edge topics.
