On October 21, Dr. Wee Cheah, the Director of the Earth Observation and Climate Change Department of IOES, Universiti Malaya, visited the SESS to foster academic collaboration. Prof. Chen Jiubin, Associate Dean of SESS, welcomed Dr. Wee Cheah and led a discussion session.
Universiti Malaya, founded in 1905, is Malaysia's leading public research university. The Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences (IOES) University of Malaya has its roots in the University of Malaya Maritime Research Centre (UMMReC) which was established in 2003.
