In August 2024, SESS signed a cooperation agreement with the School of Culture, History and Language of Australian National University (ANU). Under the terms of the agreement, the two sides will further enhance the collaboration in faculty / student exchange, joint scientific research, etc..
Founded in 1946, ANU is a world-leading university in Australia's capital. Renowned for its exceptional teaching, research and small classes, it is ranked 30th in the world by QS. It has the highest number of Nobel laureates among its staff and alumni than any other university in Australia and has country's most employable graduates, according to Times Higher Education Rankings 2023 and 2024. ANU is a member of the Group of Eight – and the only Australian member of the International Alliance of Research Universities.
