The School of Earth System Science welcomed its graduates in a commencement celebration on June 28. Dean Congqiang LIU, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, told its graduates "they shall pursue the greater good".
“Today is a happy ending of TJU life, but not a destination on a much longer journey of life,” he began. “You are armed with knowledge and capabilities during your time at SESS, which shall be used to seek the truth and pursue the greater good.” He urged the graduates to be persistent in prosperity，and in adversity.
"You are stronger than you know. It is the courage to continue that counts. I hope you could shoulder your responsibilities and make more contributions to the sustainable development of the planet,” he said.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, the School of Earth System Science awarded 79 degrees: 28 Bachelor of Science, 31 Master of Science, and 20 Doctor of Science degrees.
