In January 2024, SESS signed a cooperation agreement with Faculty of Science of Universiti Malaya. Under the terms of the agreement, the two sides will further enhance collaboration in faculty exchange, students' training, scientific research, etc..
Universiti Malaya, founded in 1905, is Malaysia's leading public research university. SESS and Faculty of Science of Universiti Malaya have conducted joint research on tracing metal element sources, organic matter transformation, and denitrification in various coastal rivers, groundwater systems, and surface waters across Malaysia.
