Prof. Xingliang Xu, Professor of Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Ph.D. supervisor. Got Ph.D. in Ecology of Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and postdoctoral researcher at Vienna University in Austria; He was a visiting scholar at University of Hohenheim, Germany, and University of California, Santa Cruz.
He has been engaged in studies on plant nitrogen acquisition strategies, interactions between plants and soil microorganisms, underground mycorrhizal networks, above and belowground relationships, rhizosphere excitation effects, and stable isotope ecology. He has published more than 100 SCI papers. Currently, he is the responsible editorial board member of the European Journal of Soil Biology, and the deputy editor of Land Degradation and Development, and Rhizosphere.
