Prof. Wang Zheng from SESS has been appointed as the Editorial Board member of the international journal《Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology》(BECT) since November, 2021.
BECT is a journal of Springer Nature since 1966. With its high standards of scientific quality and clarity, BECT provides rapid publication of peer-reviewed articles describing significant advances and discoveries in the fields of air, soil, water, and food contamination and pollution as well as articles on methodology and other disciplines concerned with the introduction, presence and effects of toxicants in the total environment.

Prof. Wang Zheng is a "Peiyang Scholar" of Tianjin University.His research interest is environmental geochemistry of metal stable isotopes, with emphasis on fractionation mechanism of metal isotopes, isotope tracing of mercury and other metal pollutants, and reconstruction of paleoenvironment and life evolution using metal isotopes. He has published more than 40 peer reviewed papers in high-level international journals, such as PNAS, Nature Communications, Environmental Science and Technology, Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, and Global Biogeochemical Cycles.
