On 19 October, a delegation headed by Professor Ian Nabney, Deputy Dean (International Education) of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Bristol visited SESS. Chaired by Associate Dean Chen Jiubin, the meeting was also attended by Wang Guodong, Section Chief of Tianjin University's Office of International Cooperation, and other staff.
Both parties briefly introduced their schools and conducted in-depth discussions on the delivery of the 3+1 AMD programme, student exchanges, field practice and prospective research collaboration. The visit strengthened the basis for bilateral cooperation in Earth sciences and opened new prospects for talent development and joint research.
