On January 15, 2026, the School of Earth System Science officially kicked off the opening ceremony of its inaugural "Zhiyuan" International Youth Training Camp, marking a new milestone in the institution's efforts to foster globally minded "Earth+" talents.
The inaugural "Zhiyuan" International Youth Training Camp is set to run for eight weeks, bringing together over 30 outstanding undergraduate students. Participants will engage in a series of intensive training activities, including workshops on social practies, trainings on English proficiency, and cultural exchange events.
Since 2023, the school has been at the forefront of internationalizing undergraduate education, having selected and fully sponsored nearly 60 outstanding undergraduate students to participate in overseas internship programs. These immersive experiences have not only equipped students with cutting-edge professional knowledge in earth system science but also broadened their global perspectives, enabling them to engage with international academic communities and tackle complex environmental challenges from a cross-cultural lens.
