Today, the School announced the launch of the new "Peiyang Earth System Science Lecture" series to be hosted at the School of Earth System Science, Tianjin University. The series is being established to advance the holistic and cross-disciplinary research on the surface geological system, ecosystem, and human society.
Aiming to engage students, faculty, and the broader professional community across disciplines who are actively shaping the sustainable future of the earth and society, the series will welcome prominent scientist to share their views and frontier studies on promoting the coexistence of humans and nature.
On the afternoon of 21 October 2024, the first lecture was given the Prof. Cong-qiang Liu, the SESS Dean and the Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, on The Earth System Science and the Sustainable Development.
