About the speaker: Dr. Liu-Kang Xu, Chief Scientist at LI-COR, Inc., USA, received his Ph.D. in Soil Science from the University of California, Davis in 2000. From 2001 to 2004, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, under the supervision of Dr. Dennis Baldocchi. Since joining LI-COR in 2004, his primary research has focused on the regulation and measurement technologies of greenhouse gas and energy exchange between various ecosystems and the atmosphere. He has published 30 peer-reviewed papers and holds 6 U.S. patents. In 2014, he was recognized by Thomson Reuters as one of the "World's Most Influential Scientific Minds", ranking among the top 1% most cited researchers in the field of agricultural sciences.
