主讲嘉宾:刘尚 博士

嘉宾简介:刘尚,中国科学技术大学教授,博士生导师。研究涵盖大气气溶胶化学、光学特性与形成机理,挥发性有机物化学反应机理,室内空气污染等领域。本科、硕士和博士分别毕业于吉林大学(2003)、北京大学(2006)和Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego(2012)。2012-2017年先后在Los Alamos National Laboratory、University of Colorado Boulder和National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA)从事科研工作。2017年被中国科学技术大学引进任教授。已发表学术论文近50篇,在Nature Communications, Nature Geoscience, PNAS, Environmental Science & Technology, Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, Geophysical Research Letters, Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres和Atmospheric Measurement Techniques等顶级国际期刊发表多篇论文,被引2600余次, H-index 28。

报告简介:Organic aerosols account for 20-90% of atmospheric fine particle mass. Enhanced characterization of the physical and chemical properties of organic aerosols will improve our understanding of their effects on environment, climate, and human health. The formation and evolution mechanisms of organic aerosols, however, remain unclear, largely due to the highly complex nature of organic aerosols’ chemical composition. In this talk, a method for quantification of organic functional group composition will be introduced. The application of this method in studying the sources and reaction mechanisms of bulk organic aerosols from field and laboratory experiments will be demonstrated. In addition, a single-particle organic aerosol functional group measurement technique will be discussed.
